Breathing Space Yoga, Northern Beaches is an eco-friendly, community focused yoga studio where several of the Northern Beaches' leading yoga practitioners, natural and artistic therapists gather and teach.
Breathing Space Yoga Northern Beaches uses and promote organic and sustainable yoga products to raise awareness because we believe healing the planet is synonymous with healing ourselves. You will find a wide variety of yoga styles and supportive therapies as well as seasonal cleansing programs, guest master teachers, yoga workshops, specialist prenatal, postnatal and mums'n'bubs yoga classes plus local and global charity initiatives.
Breathing Space Yoga is conveniently located in the centre of the Avalon village above the Red Cross Shop in Chelsea Lane and run various styles of yoga classes Monday to Saturday with regular workshops, seminars and exhibitions.
Breathing Space Yoga is the only studio on the Northern Beaches that chooses chemical-free, organic yoga equipment; recycled paper for all our printing and administration needs; eco-aware cleaning and toiletry products; organic soy candles and recycled furniture. And out of consideration for Mother Earth and our more sensitive clients we even chose an eco-friendly, low-allergenic paint with recent renovations.
Considering each other and Mother Earth is our main priority and the studio aims to provide a responsible, safe haven for practicing yoga and associated therapies in an effort to help reduce our individual and collective footprints. Breathing Space Yoga even installed a sustainably-sourced bamboo floor that heats naturally in the sun to retain heat for evening classes. This helps to reduce the energy load on the environment and again re-iterates our commitment to helping conserve our precious natural resources.

Breathing Space Yoga Northern Beaches teachers are some of the best on the Northern Beaches, offering Hatha yoga (Christina Pateras and Lucy Andrews), Iyengar Yoga (Lynn Styman- Lane), Yoga Synergy (Liz Bennett), Yoga for Surfers (Campbell Wilson), Hara or Ki Yoga (Denby Sheather and Richard Paton) and also specializing in Pre and Post natal Yoga and support therapies - Bowen Therapy, Massage, Shiatsu and Reiki/Energetic Healing. We also offer Chinese Astrology and Feng Shui with Thom Walsh and Psychic readings/workshops and Full Moon Meditation with popular local author and metaphysicist Stacey Demarco.
Breathing Space Yoga's specialist Active Birth course is one of the longest running pregnancy courses in the area, incorporating birth preparation, labor therapy, massage and birth healing with remedial yoga sequences to help expectant mothers "get into the Birth Zone".
This course will teach you everything you need to know and everything the others don't cover.
