Wine Tasting Nights at Miss Marley’s

Miss Marley’s is one of the few places in Manly that you can sample wines from further afield than Western Australia or New Zealand.

To honour this point of difference, the boutique tequila bar & restaurant will be hosting wine tasting nights in 2011.

La Bodega

In partnership with Emanuele Cicero from La Bodega, a wine distribution company that imports & has exclusivity on a wide range of Chilean wines. The nights will be a delightful mix of wine tasting, chatter, and a select six course degustation menu compiled by Executive Chef Trinidad Lopez.

Kicking off with a shot of pisco sour at 7pm, guests will be treated to some of Miss Marley’s finest dishes and La Bodega’s most popular wines, all whilst sitting in the glamorous yet comfortable surrounds of Miss Marley’s.

Ms Lopez will articulate a brief description of the brand new menu, including notes on inspiration as well as execution, before heading off into the kitchen to prepare the evening’s delectable dishes.

Wine Connoisseur Emanuele Cicero

An assortment of wines that Emanuele has hand-picked to compliment the food will be served to match each of the degustation dishes, accompanied by a succinct explanation of the wine’s intricacies & partnership with the particular dish in question.

Born in Italy but raised in Chile, Emanuele’s passion for wine is buried deep in his bones. Originally carving out a career in IT, he became restless & driven by the lack of diversity of wines within Australia he was inspired to set up his own company. That was back in 1984; Emanuele is now the sole distributor of his select Chilean wines in Australia, and loves nothing more than spreading the good word about his products.

Dinner Party

The evenings will be a chance to not only improve your wine knowledge (& thus impress future dinner guests!) but is also a great opportunity to get out in Manly & do something different with your Monday night.
