Steve Harrison: Head First - Mind Over Matter
Steve Harrison’s work focuses on his place in the world, in particular, in and of his local environment, yet within a global framework. By collecting all his materials within a 25 km radius of where he lives, Steve uses weathered igneous rock for both his ceramic bodies and glazes, taking months to years to prepare clay bodies in this way. His is an intense art practice involving a holistic approach to materiality, practice and process.
