Car Service Sydney
Car Maintenance 101
Your car is a serious purchase, so protect your investment with these top car service tips.

Check One, Two, Three...
Number one, and it’s so important, is to check your
tyre pressure. If you need any greater motivator – it will save you money and a pesky
flat tyre at an inopportune moment.
Checking tyre pressure won't take you long and is a cash-saver and headache preventer. Set a reminder on your phone, note your correct
tyre pressure while you’re at it.

When you check your oil, it should be honey coloured. If it’s brown, your car should be seen to as a priority, as your oil needs changing. If it’s black you’re lucky your engine is still going. Get to a
Col Crawford Car Servicing Centre pronto.

Service Your Car Regularly
Regular
car servicing prevents any little problems from becoming big ones. Follow the manufacturer’s service schedule at a bare minimum. You’ll need more frequent services if you do more than average kilometres.
Going on a driving holiday? Make sure your car is thoroughly checked and serviced before you go.
If it’s a Disco On The Dash; Get Help
If any of your
warning lights illuminate, make an
appointment with your service centre straight away. Limit driving until you get the problem rectified.
Use the Best Fuel and Oil You Can Afford
Choosing low grade fuel at the bowser may be cheaper initially but it’s a false saving. A good fuel will give you
greater fuel economy, is better for your engine, produces less emissions and will leave fewer nasty deposits in your fuel tank. Ditto for oil. Cheap oil is bad for your car, plus you’ll have to replace it more often.
Drive Well
Unleashing you inner hoon will cost you more, wears out your tyres and brakes much faster, as well as causing increased wear & tear on your car, which all adds up to less dollars in your wallet. Slow down, accelerate & brake gently, select the correct gear.
The environment will also thank you.
Slip, Slop, Slap
The Sydney beach lifestyle of sun, salt, and wind are bad news for your beloved car. Wash it regularly, ensure you have rust & paint protectant and good quality window tint. Help your resale value with regular polishes and interior cleans. If you can’t be bothered, try our
BuffnShine car wash.
Droppings from birds, bats or trees will quickly start the corrosion process and expose the metal. Keep some wetwipes in your glovebox for such emergencies, and get you car washed as soon as you can.
It doesn’t take much time or effort to look after your car, and the return on investment is huge. If you need any more advice on keeping your car looking great contact us at www.colcrawford.com.au/contact-col-crawford.php
