Women's Travel China -The Itinerary

This fabulous 20 day Women’s only group to China is designed to touch briefly the big cities of Shanghai and Bejing as it would be sad visit China and not see the Forbidden City, Tiananman Square, the Great Wall and the Terracotta Warriers. Most of the 19 days will be spent in the Yunnan province, a place consisting of mountains, villages and numerous Chinese ethnic minority groups. Visit Lijiang, set high amongst dramatic mountain scenery near the border with Tibet. Here you will visit the ancient Lijiang town and experience the Naxi minority culture. The town is a delightful maze of cobbled streets, wooden buildings, canals and 'hurly-burly' of market life. The province of Yunnan is also home to the nation’s highest number of species of flora and fauna – including 2500 varieties of wild flower and plant – and is known for its mild climate year-round. Even Kumning the provincial capital of Yunnan, has a flavor that seems more than half a world away from Bejjing. Spring City, ’ retains an individuality that has earned it a reputation for being one of the more cosmopolitan and relaxed cities in the southwest. On this tour we will take time to experience the art of Thai Chi and learn about traditional medicine.
