Kathmandu - Elephant Ride - Lyn's Adventure Travel

Our adventure is set to begin when we arrive at Kathmandu. We take a spectacular 30-minute flight over the mountains to Pokhara. Pokhara is a beautiful city town set on the banks of the Phewa Lake. Smaller and much less hectic than Kathmandu, Pokhara is the perfect starting point for our trek into the Annapurna mountains.

We're going to trek for 6 days between camps in the Annapurna region, which features the rarest and most splendid of Nepal's natural beauties: the highest awe-inspiring snow-capped peaks in the world, crystal lakes, turbulent rivers and deep gorges, some of the world’s rarest fauna and flora, Tibetan monasteries and picturesque villages inhabited by friendly ethnic people.

Then we go down into the steamy jungles of Royal Chitwan National Park, where you'll explore for 3 days. For some of the jungle tour we will even ride elephants! If you're a keen bird watcher you will be amazed. Nepal has more than 10% of the world's bird population.
