'6 of the best' Aussie states
A little bit of luxury... around Australia
So get your motorbike helmet poised, and get ready for a road trip around only the greatest country on earth, with top spots to visit in each state
NSW, Palm Beach
Hire a mansion during January on Australia ’s most prestigious beach. The only beach where most eyes are wandering past the array of massive houses rather than out to sea. It will only set you back about 20K for the week, but hey if you go in with a bunch of mates, it's the most lavish week you'll ever have! There is a lot of beach to share and the waves get pretty good around summer. There are plenty of water sports, beach activities, hiking and many local cafes to keep you busy and satisfied.
QLD, Hayman Island
The sunshine state is always glowing! Where else, but QLD! The pick of the crop in the northern state is the wonderful Hayman Island. Voted best Australian resort for a few years in a row, this amazing haven offers many beachfront rooms, themed penthouses and private garden oasis. The island is just a short 'copter flight to the most beautiful beaches in the world, such as glorious Whitehaven. A weekender will only set you back a couple of Gs but boy is it worth it.
WA, Ningaloo Reef
Get your snorkel and gear up, because you’re about to hit, what is arguably (yes these 2 states will forever be arguing this one) the BEST reef in the world, ok, Australia! (I like to give our nation a good rap) Many of the best marine scientists have monitored the reefs activity and say that Ningaloo is a national treasure, so lux it up in Ningaloo, because it’s not the accommodation that valuable here, it’s the whole damn reef!
SA, Barossa Valley
I heard a young larrikin say on the tele today; he has finally earned the right to be a wine wanker. Right it is too, as there is nothing worse than a wine wanker that actually doesn’t know what they’re talking about, so if you want to wank it up, head to the valley for a tour of some of Australia’s finest wineries, there are a great selection of boutique hotels and B&Bs or get yourself a massage and head to the 5 star resorts. Either way, it’s the scenery you will love.
VIC, Crown Casino
Live it up like Ocean. Hire the suite and suit and then hire a hacker and sneak into the Melbourne’s largest bank, then spend your millions on black jack and roulette, limos and as the Americans do it ‘fine fizz’, oh yeah baby. Then you have to press pause on the game sole of your Xbox because that part was NOT real. Now you can just go downstairs and enjoy the many things the Crown has on offer. The promenade is a great place to start; lining the river the grand casino offers gourmet restaurants, food outlets, of course your poker and much more. We do not endorse gambling, but if you’re looking for a great night out in Melbourne, we recommend the crown.
TAS, Wineglass Bay
OK, you have heard it all before, so what are you waiting for? Book your holiday, I don’t care if it’s tomorrow or in ten years, you have to schedule this one in. It really is ‘A thousand miles from anywhere’, which actually makes it, 10,000 miles from care. The perfect pristine private oasis, away from it all. There are beautiful private lodges and the place really is the epitomy of PEACE. We highly recommend you visit.
