Welcome to Periwinkle Manly
Built in 1895 on an original land grant, Periwinkle Guest House Manly is among a small number of surviving buildings from the Federation era and one of the most charming places to stay in Manly. Completely restored, it features stylish rooms with high ceilings, elegant staircases and original wrought iron ‘lacework’ verandahs overlooking a delightful courtyard and the picturesque harbour. With an ambience often likened to buildings situated in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Periwinkle is nonetheless Aussie to the core. Cool and quiet with ceiling fans, antiques and attractive cane furniture, our décor compliments perfectly the guesthouse’s location by the blue waters of Manly Cove and the nearby ocean beaches.
A Tradition of Hospitality
The Roth family and staff at Periwinkle Guesthouse Manly offer traditional bed and breakfast hospitality. Relax by the tinkling fountain in the courtyard, help yourself to complimentary continental breakfast in the kitchen or prepare your own light meals. All 18 of our bedrooms are equipped with refrigerators, heaters and electric blankets. Most rooms have ensuite. Kitchen and laundry facilities are available for guest’s use 12pm to 7pm daily. Some Off-street parking is also available.
In An Unbeatable Position
The Periwinkle is superbly situated on the beautiful inner harbour beach at Manly Cove. You can swim, sail, listen to the lorikeets in the Norfolk Island pines at sunset, or take a short stroll through level parkways to ferry and bus connections. And be sure to explore The Corso, Manly Oceanarium, Art Gallery, Museum, and Manly’s famous Ocean Beach – all only a short stroll from The Periwinkle Manly Guesthouse. In addition, you can discover a wide range of international fare at Manly’s many restaurants, or take in a film at nearby Manly Twin Cinemas.
